So, the new Blogger was not going to let me do everything I wanted.  In particular, I wanted to combine the posts from my old blog into this one.  It was on the old blog where I first posted about Harrison’s birth and then we switched to the new blog.

Now, I have imported ALL of the posts into this new blog!  The direct address is blog.mysticlegend.com and I hope it is easy for you to find!

I’ll be sprucing up the place over the next few days.

Here are some new pics…almost rolling over…his new hat…and we got Harrison an exersaucer and he really likes it!

Day of packing

Kelly | Uncategorized | 1 Comment

I am taking a break from packing. Kelly took Harrison up to the Quad Cities to go to the hardware store (can’t you just hear him making the Tim Allen noise?) to look around at stuff for the new house. This gave me the chance to actually get more than one box packed . I’ve made a little bit of a dent downstairs. We’ve been here for over 6 years and I am already amazed at how much more stuff we have this time than the last time we moved. Some of it has to do with having a baby, but I think a lot of it is pre-baby, too (like movies and video games that there is no way we would have time to sit down and play/watch now :)). Ugh…

I am feeling pretty good, though, because I do have all of my Christmas shopping done and wrapped. I stayed up last night wrapping them all so I would have that done for when we go home to NE. I can’t believe Christmas is two weeks from tomorrow! I’m afraid the next 3 or 4 weeks are going to absolutely fly by. I need to remember to slow down at times and enjoy Harrison’s first Christmas and remember why we’re celebrating this season.

Don’t worry grandmas and grandmpas. We have some for you! Maybe you aunts and uncles, too! ;)

SOLD!

Amy | Uncategorized | 7 Comments

Tonight, we accepted an offer on our house. We are very excited, yet it really hasn’t hit us. We did not really expect to sell the place before the end of the year let alone two weeks after listing it. Our realtor said it would be an easier house to sell since it was in a lower price range that more people could afford, but he also said that it is really hard to sell during the holidays.

Thanks, God, for this blessing!

Closing/Moving Day will probably be January 5th, if not sooner. So, our buds with strong backs, mark your calendars! We gonna need ya! :)

Everything went well at the doctor today. We found out that the flaps in his throat that close & open to his lungs are somewhat enlarged and softer than normal, so they are vibrating when he cries and this is something he will most likely grow out of. This was the best case scenario, so we are thankful for that news. He was very, very irritable after the procedure because of the medicine they had given him (it may also have something to do with the tube they put down his nose). He was very hungry because I couldn’t feed him past 10 this morning, and the procedure was done at 3. I couldn’t feed him until about 4 after everything was done, so he was really upset and he didn’t really eat very well. So with a combination of everything, he’s tired, hungry and very fussy and just can’t seem to settle down. Hoping he can calm down before he goes to sleep tonight. But we’re thankful that everything went well.

We had a pretty rough night last night. Kelly couldn’t sleep because of an upset stomach & he was hot. I couldn’t sleep because I was coughing up a lung and I was cold. Harrison got up at around 2:00 (he has been sleeping through the night for about a month, but was hungry last night for some reason). Harrison getting up wasn’t too big of a deal because I was already awake and then he went right back to sleep. After I fed him, I went down and had some hot tea until I could take some more cough medicine. I got to bed around 3:30 I think.

But this morning after Harrison ate at 7:30, he went back to bed until 10 and let mommy sleep a little longer. Unfortunately Kelly couldn’t take advantage of that. He’ll have to go to bed early tonight.

Getting ready to go to Iowa City for Harrison’s tests. I am not looking forward to it and just praying it goes well…and fast. And that the tests can show what the problem is and it isn’t anything serious. Thanks for your prayers- we’ll post something when we get home to let everyone know what we found out.
