We actually just found our cameras, but they are too cold to turn on right now. So I got Harry with my phone. He fell asleep in the swing. Cute.

Should get back to posting new pics tomorrow. Grandparents will rejoice!

Happy 5th month birthday, little boy!

Sliding doors

Amy | Uncategorized | 0 Comments

We have a set of sliding doors going out to our patio at the new house.  They are very nice…let a lot of light in, I can look out and see the snow covered yard, let Phoebe out very easily.  Only bad thing is that she isn’t used to them completely yet- she’s run into the closed door twice on her way back in the house.  Kind of like a bird running into a window when it’s flying.  Ouch…poor thing.  Maybe we’ll have to put up some stickers or something.

Harrison is officially rolling over from his back to his tummy.  He did it several times today and just wanted to do it again and again.  So, mobility has begun!  He will be on the move non-stop now!

Sorry there’s no pictures yet…still looking for the camera…and many other things for that matter.  :o

Whew!

Kelly | Uncategorized | 0 Comments

What a week!  Spent several nights in the basement family room with Amy and I, Harrison, and Amy’s folks.  On Thursday night, after getting carpet, we moved our bed to our room and Harrison’s crib to his room.  Everyone has slept better since.

We have all of the carpeted rooms painted (4 bedrooms & living room) but they still need trim.  Other rooms need paint and trim, but we are going to take a break and settle in a bit.  Amy’s parents left this morning.  They were a HUGE help for us!

Harrison has been doing a lot more.  He rolled over once on his own this week.  Last night he said ” Ga, ga, kkkk.”  He is grabbing things in a more coordinated manner.  He can about get his own binky in his mouth (has done so several times).

We really feel like this is home for some reason.  More so than the old house - even after living there for 7 years.  Don’t know why.  Maybe it’s all the work we put in it.  Maybe the old house felt more like someone else’s house.  Maybe it’s more what we see being in long term.  Hard to describe.

Haven’t found the box with the cameras yet, so there are no new pictures.  We hope to find it today or tomorrow!

Snow is supposed to finally find us tonight.  Haven’t had any since last winter!

That’s about it.  TTFN!

We’re in!

Amy | Uncategorized | 0 Comments

We’re living out of boxes, but we’re here!  We started packing things into the truck on Saturday morning at 8 (Kelly & his brother moved most of the garage and basement stuff on friday) and we had most everything to the new house & unloaded by 10:30.  We had the old house cleaned & done by 4:30 and started in on the new place after that.  We are getting carpet in the bedrooms and living room on Thursday, so we don’t have anything in the bedrooms yet (it is all waiting out in the garage).  I have been working on the kitchen.  I have a feeling I am going to be having a garage sale this spring.  :)

Not much going on other than that.  Thankful to be here and still amazed that two months ago we had no idea we would be here.  I think we are going to like it!  Thank you so much to everyone that helped!  We would still be moving boxes right now if we hadn’t had so many people helping.  Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

One More Day

Kelly | Uncategorized | 0 Comments

Harrison has been feeling much better since yesterday evening.  Still a little cough here and there, but breathing much easier and a little more himself.

Just in time for moving!  Tomorrow we say goodbye to the old house and hello to the new one.  We are excited.  This old house has been a great first house for us.  But we anticipate all of the opportunities that the new one holds.

We had high hopes of doing a lot to it right away, but today we found out about, with a little more precision, all of the “costs” of selling and buying these homes.  Turns out we’ll come up short a few bucks (like thousands) to do all we were hoping to.  :(  So, we are cutting back our plans a bit.  For now, we’ll just focus on carpet, painting and redoing trim.  That should make quite a difference by itself.  Then we’ll see what’s left over for other stuff as make some progress.

Thanks to all of you who’ve said you’ll help us move on Saturday.  We’ll try to make it as painless as possible!  We really appreciate your willingness to help!

Harrison is suffering his first head cold.  It has been a new experience for all of us.

We are living out of boxes, anxiously awaiting moving day on Saturday.

It is 10:00 New Year’s Eve and Harrison and Kelly are in bed and I am almost there.  It’s funny how life changes.  I can remember the year before I met Kelly, which was exactly 10 years ago, I was up pretty late on New Year’s Eve celebrating.  10 years later I’m married, have a 4 month old and am so grateful for all the blessings in my life.  My life has changed, but for the better!  I’m sure this next year will bring many changes as well, starting this Friday with the move to the new house.  We’ve been busy packing and getting ready.  We are excited!  Have a happy new year and we wish everyone a blessed 2007!

Silly Uncle Troy

Kelly | Uncategorized | 0 Comments

Harrison’s Uncle Troy (Kelly’s brother) is one fun, cool dude.  He is a great brother, father, son, and now uncle.  He is also pretty funny.  We look forward to him being here next weekend to help us move.  Love you, Troy!
