Can’t believe it’s been 4 days since I’ve posted.  Can’t believe I’m not in bed right now.  (Well, actually I can believe that…each night I tell myself I am going to bed EARLY, and somehow I find myself up until midnight and tired in the morning.  Such is life.)

Not much going on this weekend…just trying to catch up some things on my never-ending list.

Here’s some cute pics from the other night.  Harrison got a hold of the hose while I was watering some plants and proceeded to get the house and himself drenched.  He had so much fun, I couldn’t stop him.  :)

a reminder

I was challenged this weekend by the message from one of our pastors…one of the quotes he used for his message is this:

“The only ultimate disaster that can befall us, I have come to realize, is to feel ourselves at home here on earth.”  Malcolm Muggeridge

I have to admit I do feel too comfortable sometimes…truthfully, a lot of the time.  I need to change that.  The world does not revolve around me.  There are hurting people all around, and I need to open my eyes up to them.  Sure, I do things to help, but then I go back to my stuff.  Not sure what I will do or what it will look like…just writing down some thoughts.

A few more from Kelly’s phone…

Wheeeeeee!

My mom and I have both been looking at garage sales for some type of slide to put in our backyard for Harrison.  Things like that tend to go fast, so we haven’t had any luck.  I happened to mention to my neighbor, Wendi,  that if they ever wanted to get rid of theirs, that I would love to buy it from them.  I knew her boys were probably going to outgrow it soon, if they haven’t already.  She said, “Oh, you can just have it.  We’ve been wanting to get rid of it anyway.”  They got it free from someone else, so it is definitely being recycled!  :)  Here’s some pics from yesterday…Harrison loves it!

The Ducks

The duck tour was better than I expected.  These things can go through water and on land, so they take you through some trails and then into the water.  Normally they go into Lake Delton, but because of a earthen berm break during the floods, the lake actually emptied out into the Wisconsin River (in like 2 1/2 hours…wow).  So, now they take you down the river.  It was neat.  Kelly and I went on our own and then he actually went with all the other boys later and took Harrison that time.

Waterparks

So this place had like 10 different waterparks, some inside and some outside.  And each one had it’s own little toddler area.  I’ve never seen anything like it.  Talk about being overwhelmed.  :)  But the weather was just about perfect every day we were there; no rain at all.  Here’s some pics of the fish in water.  He LOVED the slides…up and down, up and down, up and down…

By the end of the week Harrison was saying “Duuuuutyyyyy” almost all the time, looking for his new buddy, 4 year old Dusty.  It was cute.  I do wish we could see them all more!

Got back from the Dells this afternoon.  Had a great time with Kelly’s family…spent lots of time together, spent lots of time at the waterparks, lots of food, a couple of movies, a duck ride…pictures later.  :)  We had a great trip!
