Here is Harrison doing ’so big’. I just can’t believe how much he’s starting to comprehend and new things he’s doing, even in the last couple of weeks. He’s clicking his tongue, today he blew a kiss to me after I did it to him several times, he tried doing “The Itsy Bitsy Spider” after I did it. Yesterday I took him to the library story/singing time and he was dancing all over the place and clicking his tongue to the music; it was so cute!
We had a good time in Branson with Nana and Papa Gubser. We ate a lot, drove a lot, laughed a lot and talked a lot. Oh yeah, and chased Harrison a lot. These are just a few highlights…
We ate at a restaurant named Shorty Smalls- they have one in Little Rock where Kelly used to live, so he knew it. It wasn’t quite the same as the original, but it was still good! They have these mozzarella logs that are HUGE!
Three generations
We also went to a restaurant named Lambert’s…they throw rolls at you! And after they bring you your food, they come around with fried okra, black eyed peas and fried potatoes. And I just have to say, a hot roast beef sandwhich, mashed potatoes AND fried potatoes all on one plate…I’m in heaven.
Harrison LOVED riding with Nana on her scooter. He would sit there and beep the little horn. It was very entertaining, especially for other people that he would beep at to get them out of the way.
This is at a very cool outdoor mall. A clown made him a fishing pole from balloons. He loved it.
And this is what happened when Papa took him off of the scooter. He had a complete fit! He practically jumped out of his arms reaching for the scooter and the horn.
I love these pictures…
Family pics…
It was very pretty down there. Very hilly, which made me pretty car sick sometimes, but I managed.
We just got back tonight from a week long trip to Branson, MO, with Kelly’s parents. Still unpacking and getting back to ‘normal’ (I’ve come to realize that there is no real normal). Anyway, I hope to get some pictures posted early this week. I’ve got a lot on the agenda this week!
at least for me I guess. I took the kitty down to the Humanes Society this morning. They thought she was about 5 weeks old. She was so scared. I had given her some bread and water this morning and she had that gone in no time. Who knows how long she’s been out on her own. I hope they can find a good home for her.
It was really cute to hear Harrison and the kitty in the car on the way…the kitty would meow and then Harrison would “meow” (more of a humming sound). This went back and forth, one right after another, for about 10 minutes. It was very funny.
I’m sure you’re all staying up wondering what is happening with the kitty. :) Kelly was feeling bad, I think, because he went out and sat in the garage until he heard where the kitty was. It got back out of the van and up in the wood again. Kelly got the van out of the garage and closed the garage door so it couldn’t go back into the engine again. He chased it around the garage and finally got it back into the carrier. Off to the Humanes Society tomorrow…and I will be able to sleep tonight knowing that when I start my van tomorrow, it won’t be the end of the kitty. ![]()
Harrison has been working on some teeth for a while now. I noticed today that #7 popped through; it’s the 2nd one over on the bottom right. The 2nd one over on the bottom left is about to poke through, too.
